The short answer
On OpenRouter's own checkout: USDC, and only USDC. When you turn on the crypto option and click Purchase, OpenRouter generates a Coinbase-hosted payment link. At the time of writing that link accepts USDC on Base. Your USDC on Solana, Ethereum, Polygon or Arbitrum does not settle it, and neither does USDT.
Through ROZO Checkout, the same link can be paid with: Bitcoin over Lightning; USDC or USDT on Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon or Arbitrum; and USDC on Base or Stellar. You paste the link OpenRouter generated, pick the coin and chain you actually hold, and a funder wallet settles the Coinbase invoice for you.

The network fee for sending your coin is separate on every crypto rail and is paid to the chain, not to OpenRouter or ROZO. On Solana and Stellar it is a fraction of a cent.
Where the wallet connector actually lives
OpenRouter's own site does not connect to your wallet. The crypto option hands you off to a Coinbase Business checkout page, and the wallet connector, Phantom included, lives on that Coinbase page. OpenRouter Support confirmed this on their Discord on 9 September 2026. So if Phantom refuses to connect, the problem is between your browser and the Coinbase page, not an OpenRouter setting.
A second message people see on that page is "Coinbase checkout is unavailable for this account". That is an account-level restriction on the Coinbase side. It is not a balance problem and it is not fixed by adding funds or switching wallets.
If you pay the link through ROZO on the Solana route, Phantom, Solflare or Backpack sign the transfer directly on Solana, with no Coinbase page in the middle.
Paying from an exchange such as Kraken or Binance
You do not need a browser wallet at all if your USDC or USDT sits on an exchange.
To pay OpenRouter's Coinbase page directly, your exchange has to offer USDC withdrawals on the network the page names (Base at the time of writing). Not every exchange lists Base. If yours does not, the withdrawal cannot reach that page.
To pay the same link through ROZO, withdraw on whichever supported network your exchange does offer (USDC or USDT on Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon or Arbitrum, or USDC on Base or Stellar) to the one-time deposit address ROZO shows you, and send exactly the quoted amount. Some exchanges only release withdrawals to addresses you have verified as your own; if yours does, withdraw to a wallet you control first and send from there. How to pay the same link with a coin OpenRouter does not list
- In OpenRouter, open Settings, then Credits. Turn on the crypto option, enter the amount (an amount accepted by the selected payment option) and click Purchase. Copy the payment link it produces.
- Paste that link at checkout.rozo.ai.
- Pick what you hold: Bitcoin over Lightning; USDC or USDT on Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon or Arbitrum; USDC on Base or Stellar; or native ETH, BNB, SOL or POL.
- Send the quoted amount to the one-time deposit address, pay the Lightning invoice, or approve the transfer in Phantom, Solflare or Backpack on the Solana route.
- A funder wallet settles the Coinbase invoice. Credits are applied after the payment settles on chain; the ROZO payment page shows live status until it does.
