How to Pay OpenRouter From a Japanese Exchange: bitFlyer, Coincheck, bitbank, GMO Coin, SBI VC Trade

Shawn Muggle

If your crypto is on a Japanese exchange, the usual advice for paying OpenRouter (send USDT or USDC) does not fit. Japanese exchanges do not list USDT, and of the five exchanges below only SBI VC Trade lets you withdraw USDC, on Ethereum only.

You can still pay. ROZO Checkout also accepts native coins that Japanese exchanges do list: SOL on Solana, ETH on Ethereum or Arbitrum, POL on Polygon and BNB on BNB Chain. Paste your OpenRouter payment link, pick the coin, and ROZO shows a one-time deposit address with the exact amount. This guide covers which coin to withdraw from each exchange and how to handle Japan's Travel Rule recipient checks honestly.

Steps to pay OpenRouter with crypto: copy your OpenRouter payment link, paste it into ROZO Checkout, pick a chain, and pay.
Every method starts the same way: paste your OpenRouter payment link or payment ID into ROZO Checkout.

What each exchange can send that ROZO accepts

From each exchange's official fee page, checked 1 November 2026. Fees change, so read the fee on the withdrawal screen before you confirm.

ExchangeCoins and networks ROZO acceptsWithdrawal fee
bitFlyerSOL on Solana, ETHSOL free, ETH 0.005 ETH
CoincheckSOL on Solana, ETH on Ethereum, POL on PolygonSOL 0.01, POL 0.1, ETH from 0.005 (varies with gas)
bitbankSOL on Solana, ETH on Ethereum or Arbitrum, POL on Polygon, BNB on BNB ChainSOL 0.009, ETH on Arbitrum 0.00042, BNB 0.0016, POL 1.4
GMO CoinSOL, ETH, BNB on BNB ChainFree, but minimum withdrawals are 0.1 SOL, 0.1 ETH and 0.01 BNB
SBI VC TradeUSDC on Ethereum, SOL, ETH, POL on PolygonFree

None of these exchanges sends USDT, and none sends Bitcoin over Lightning. ROZO does not accept on-chain BTC or XRP, so those balances need converting on the exchange first.

For a typical top-up, SOL on Solana is the simplest choice: every exchange above lists it and the fee is low. On bitbank, ETH on Arbitrum is also cheap. ETH on Ethereum works, but the withdrawal fee is high for a small payment.

The Travel Rule step: why the exchange may not send straight to ROZO

Japanese exchanges ask who receives every crypto withdrawal. You register the address first, say whether it is your own wallet or someone else's, and the exchange reviews it. Some details you should know:

A ROZO deposit address belongs to ROZO, not to you, and it is created fresh for each payment and expires with its quote. Do not register it as your own private wallet: that would be a false declaration. The route that works and stays honest is the next section.

Step by step: exchange, your own wallet, then ROZO

  1. Set up a wallet you control for the coin you will use, for example Phantom for SOL or MetaMask for ETH on Arbitrum.
  2. On your exchange, register that wallet address as your own private wallet and withdraw the coin to it. Wait for any review or waiting period to finish; nothing here is time limited yet.
  3. In OpenRouter, open Settings then Credits, turn on the crypto option, enter the amount and click Purchase. Copy the payment link it generates.
  4. Open checkout.rozo.ai, paste the link, and pick the same coin and network, for example SOL on Solana. ROZO shows a one-time deposit address and the exact amount.
  5. Send exactly that amount from your wallet to the ROZO address. Keep a little of the same coin for the network fee.
  6. Once the transfer lands, ROZO settles the OpenRouter link. The ROZO payment page shows live status until it does.

If you hold USDC at SBI VC Trade, the same route works with USDC on Ethereum. Sending USDC needs ETH in the same wallet for the network fee, so withdraw a little ETH there too. Ethereum network fees make this a poor fit for small payments.

What it costs

ROZO is independent and is not affiliated with OpenRouter, Coinbase or any exchange named here. There is no ROZO account and no KYC form on our side. Your exchange's own checks still apply.

Frequently asked questions

Can I send USDT from a Japanese exchange?
Not from the exchanges in this guide: none of them lists USDT. Use SOL, ETH, POL or BNB, or USDC on Ethereum if you have it at SBI VC Trade.
Can I pay with Bitcoin from bitFlyer?
Not directly. ROZO accepts Bitcoin over Lightning only, and none of these exchanges sends over Lightning. Sell the BTC for SOL or ETH on the exchange, or move it to a Lightning wallet you control first.
Can I register the ROZO address as my own wallet to skip the review?
No. The address is not yours, so that would be a false declaration. Withdraw to a wallet you own, then pay ROZO from it.
Which coin is cheapest?
Usually SOL on Solana: bitFlyer lists it as free and the others charge about 0.01 SOL. On bitbank, ETH on Arbitrum is also cheap.
