Pay OpenRouter From India: Card Declined, Higher Total With GST, or Only UPI

Shawn Muggle

Readers in India keep running into the same wall when they try to buy OpenRouter credits: the card is refused, the error makes no sense, or the total is higher than it was last month. Many of them pay for almost everything with UPI and ask the same question: can I just pay with UPI?

This page covers what people report seeing, what to try first if you still have a working international card, and how to pay an OpenRouter payment link with UPI in rupees on upi.rozo.ai. ROZO is independent and not affiliated with OpenRouter, Coinbase or Razorpay.

Three things readers in India report

These are user reports from the last few weeks, not official explanations from OpenRouter, Stripe or any bank. We describe what people saw, not why it happened.

If you see one of these, retrying the same card many times rarely helps, and repeated failures can trigger further limits.

First: if you still have a card that works internationally

If you have another card that works for international online payments, paying OpenRouter directly is the simplest path, and you do not need us.

ROZO is not part of OpenRouter and cannot change anything on your OpenRouter account or on its card checkout.

upi.rozo.ai lets you pay an OpenRouter payment link with UPI, in rupees. The credits go to your own OpenRouter account.

  1. In OpenRouter, open Settings then Credits, pick the crypto option, enter at least $10 and copy the payment link it generates. You will not pay with crypto: the link is only the bill that the UPI route pays.
  2. Open upi.rozo.ai, paste the link and check the merchant, the amount and the total.
  3. Continue to the UPI payment page. Razorpay shows the final INR amount before you pay.
  4. Pay with GPay, PhonePe, Paytm or another UPI app.
  5. Check your OpenRouter balance once the payment is confirmed.

The price is the payment-link amount plus 10%. The 10% includes our service fee, payment processing charges and applicable taxes on those fees, and Razorpay converts the total to INR. ROZO never asks for your OpenRouter login or API key.

What this route does not do

If you paid and the credits did not arrive, do not pay again. Go to rescue.rozo.ai with your payment details and we will trace it.

Frequently asked questions

In OpenRouter, open Settings then Credits, pick the crypto option, enter at least $10 and copy the link it generates. The link is only the bill: on upi.rozo.ai you pay it with UPI in rupees.
How much do I pay?
The payment-link amount plus 10%. Razorpay shows the final INR amount before you pay, so you can check it first.
